It turns out, according to SAI, that Neither Jakob Lodwick nor David Karp had anything to do with nordbum.org. I am certainly sorry for blaming them, based on what seemed like solid reporting, for making the homeless a horrible joke.
That said, obviously some anonymous hoaxer in the community *did* think the idea was funny. They are cowardly, and I am sure they are laughing loudly at what they achieved.
More troubling still, there were viewers who thought that is *was* funny. "It was all in good fun" someone said.
This is perhaps the most unfortunate aspect of it all. Indeed, whenever there is some socially unacceptable public faux pas, there are always people ready to stand up and say "what's the big deal."
I am still bummed every time I am reminded that people whom you inherently feel should know better just don't.
Perhaps the good news in all of this is that whatever nordbums.com turns out to be will get lots of attention!

Really? "Bummed?" Considering the word's origin, and the seat you've chosen upon a high horse, I believe you've made a poor word choice.
Yeah, you know I stared at your comment for a few minutes and I didn't get the pun or the irony. Then it hit me and I'd have to say you are right that it is a poor choice of words given the context. But what can I say, that's the word I use to express such thought.
Although I have to say I don't think its a particularly high horse to suggest that making fun of the homeless is pretty morally bankrupt. Obviously if you do, then we have different perspectives on such matters.
